Our Living Room Renovation On A Budget

Our Living room was the first room of the house we renovation as we didn't need to do to much! so we thought! taken the wallpaper (woodchip wallpaper) took 8 hours!! however it was so good once we did it!

here are some before photos....

The next big step was the horrible fireplace! this also look all day and was a lot harder than we thought it was going to be! we found some
YouTube videos as they helped us so much taking this down!

Taking It Down...

This was so nice good when it finally came down! also loads of mess however this didn't take long to clear up, we covered the fireplace up and then brought one from for only £84. we love the fireplace we have and if I ever change my mind and want another one I can! because its not build in.

How the Living room renovation looked DURING the work:

ready. So we changed pretty much everything. The flooring we got from B&Q and we just love we also changed the skirting broads. We got a bookshelf and a new sofa! I love how this room turned out and It took us about a week to do everything! we took out everything from this room! even the carpets we just hated them! the only thing we didn't change was the coving but we did repaint them and make them look a little neater.

How the our Living Room looks AFTER our renovation…

e We are so happy with how everything turned out! I love my little book shelf and this room has so much storage! the sofa also turns into a bed and this is going to be so handy when people stay over! we love the fireplace and this makes the room so warm!

The Flooring...

The flooring we knew straight away when we saw it that it was just perfect! we got this from B&A and It wasn't to much! it was so easy to fit and with both of us doing it didn't take that long at all! the rug we had from our old place and we loved it so kept that.

Most of the decor is on a budget and is from Poundshop or Ikea the sofa bed was from Argos and the bookshelf from Ikea.

How much did we pay click here

Side By Side BEFORE & AFTER!

we are so happy with how everything turned out and I am so glad we did this on a budget! I wanted to have storage and we did this! I wanted a sofa bed and we found this lovely one! I wanted the bookshelf we got it and also not forgetting the fireplace this was so lovely in the winter with a hot coco!!

HomeMade Body Lotion Using Only FOUR ingredients

Tuesday, 13 April 2021

Home Made Body Lotion with only FOUR ingredient's

Here is a quick little blog post! on making my body lotion at home! This honestly didn't cost that much to make and I love it! it smells so good and it makes your skin feel amazing I love it! I am going to be using this from now on and not buying from the shops! so how did I do it... First of all this is not my own make I used google to get this however I just used whatever I wanted so I don't have any measurements just use whatever you feel good.

Here is the FOUR ingredients that you will need.

So the Coconut oil is a must and also the Beeswax however you can add whatever oils you wish and you don't need to add the pine. You want to get all your ingredients and melt into a bowl. Once everything has melted you can add your oil and Pine and then add this to a jar of your choice.

This stuff is amazing!..... How much did it COST?

This didn't actually cost that much at all!! The Beeswax was 99p the coconut oil was £2 and I have nearly the whole jar still, the essential oils was 99p and I only used a few drops and the Pine was free when foraging. So all in all This was around £1.50 for a jar and also two bars.

Here are the bars....

All you do with the bars is warm in your hands and them rub all over and the warms with melt the lotion into your skin.

Tell me what you think? do you like it? will you try? let me know

Kitchen Renovation for under 1.5k!! Budget Renovation

Thursday, 8 April 2021

How much did it COST and how did we get it so cheap?

So below is a price list of everything we paid for the kitchen only... this list doesn't include things like kettle, toaster washing machine etc etc as we already had this stuff from our old house! however I didn't include some items likes the plants etc but I will everything in this post and the price! this is just the price of the kitchen itself! now its super cheap! like really cheap however one of the biggest cost with kitchen is workmen and getting someone to do it for you can cost so much money so we did it our self! we did our kitchen reno in our last place but that was small compared to this but my husband did such a great job!

Things we saved MONEY on...

Kettle Toaster - Already Had
Washing Machine - Already Had
Some of the kitchen units- we got for free of Facebook market and we just changed the doors this saved us so much money.
Worktops - we only need to buy 2 and we was left with some for the coffee area.
Fridge - Already Had
The kitchen area we need was quick small so we didn't actually need to pay for to many units and as I already said most of the units we also got for free.
Big one - labour we do the work our self ( worst part was tiling but we did it!
Carpet at the door was only £5
Windows - the big window was find and all it needed was a clean up and we painted it for only £20 rather than 1,000s on a new one. The other windows does need changing however we are still trying to get quotes in our budget. we aren't in a massive rush to get that changed but its the only window that isn't in the best of condition.

Is it more or less than you through ?

we are so happy with what we paid and are so lucky we where able to do it our self, and honestly anyone can! so what's not on this list that we brought!
Coffee Machine - Both £70
Plants all of them - £15
Bower collection bottles - £5 (discounted)
Ivy dish soap bottle - £1
Tea Towel - £3
Mirror - Free was already at the house
I also forgot to add the door! how annoying this was £30
Door handle was given to me for free!
Skirting broad was left over - Free
Recycling Bins - £23
Art work - £3

I hope you all enjoyed this post ! and I hope its helped some of you! anything is possible! and you can do it!! Have a wonderful day
